Class Description
This class begins each fall for students in the 8th grade applying to an art high school magnet. Students younger than 8th grade should enroll in the “Core Class” to work on their skills and techniques. This class will challenge your creativity, while meeting your portfolio requirements. Students will have the opportunity to display their artwork during the Zoll Studio Art Show in November. This class will also go to the National Gallery of Art in DC during December and will have a practice audition day in January. Students will be able to have their work reviewed and go through a practice interview. Most students in this class usually apply and try out for Carver High School (a national, visual arts magnet school in Baltimore County). If your child’s skills and techniques need grooming, we might also suggest taking Judy’s Core Class or Brandon’s Adult Class, while taking this class.
All classes are continuous. This means that after your four week session you may simply continue, with another payment, without re-registering and attend as many sessions you wish.
